Contract engineering · B2B · Remote

Senior engineering for teams that need it built, shipped, and kept running.

We are the engineers behind WebGuardian, a production monitoring and security platform. We take on contract and outsourced work: backend systems in Go, web applications in Vue, infrastructure, and the monitoring and security layer most teams postpone.

What we take on

Everything below is work we have already done for our own product. You get the same people, not a bench.

Backend systems

APIs and services in Go with PostgreSQL. gRPC between services, REST for clients, WebSocket for live data. Schedulers, queues, retries, idempotency, the boring parts done right.

GoPostgreSQLgRPCREST

Web applications

Dashboards and admin panels in Vue 3 with real-time updates, charts, maps, role-based access, dark mode. Built to be maintained by your team afterwards.

Infrastructure & DevOps

Containerisation, reverse proxies, TLS automation, deployment pipelines, Kubernetes where it earns its keep. Observability with Prometheus, Grafana and Loki so you see problems before users do.

Monitoring & security

Uptime monitoring, alert routing, incident workflows, status pages. Vulnerability scanning, CVE tracking, SIEM forwarding, compliance reporting. This is our core domain.

Integrations & payments

Stripe subscriptions and webhooks, OAuth (Google, GitHub), SMS via Twilio, bots and notifications for Slack, Discord, Teams and Telegram. Third-party APIs wired in properly, with retries and audit trails.

Audits & rescue work

Code and architecture review, performance investigation, security hardening, taking over a codebase the original team left behind. Written findings with file-level references, then the fixes.

How we work

Three ways to engage

Pick the model that matches how much you know about the scope. All three are B2B with invoicing, a written agreement, and your ownership of everything we produce.

Time & materials

hourly / daily

For evolving scope or embedding with your team. Weekly timesheet, weekly demo, cancel with two weeks' notice.

Monthly retainer

reserved capacity

A fixed number of days per month reserved for you. Predictable cost, priority response, ideal for ongoing product work or operating a system we built.

Fixed-scope project

fixed price

Written specification, fixed price, milestone payments. Best when you know exactly what you need and want the risk on our side.

Rates depend on scope and duration. Ask, and you get a number within a business day.

From first email to handover
01
Intro call
30 to 45 minutes with an engineer. What you have, what you need, what has gone wrong before.
02
Scope and estimate
A written proposal within a week: architecture, milestones, price, what is out of scope.
03
Build in weekly increments
Working software every week in your repository and your environment. Demo, feedback, adjust.
04
Handover
Documentation, runbooks, deployment pipeline, and a walkthrough for your team. Optional retainer for operations.
Stack

Tools we use in production every day

We work in your stack when it makes sense. This is the one we know best because it runs our own product.

About

Small team, senior only

WebGuardian Dev is the engineering team behind the WebGuardian platform. We are based in Bulgaria, inside the EU, and work remotely with clients across Europe. Every engagement is handled directly by the engineers who do the work. There is no account manager between you and the code.

We build our own product with the same standards we bring to yours: written architecture, reviewed code, observability from day one, and an honest answer when something is a bad idea.
